30% protein and a hard, close coat to keep in condition.
A Jack Russell in good condition is all muscle and no padding — dense, hard and heavier in the hand than she looks. Holding that takes protein rather than calories, and this runs 30% protein against 16% fat to do it.
The coat is the other breed marker: short, hard and weatherproof, and it dulls quickly if the skin underneath isn't supported. EPA and DHA at 3 g/kg cover that. Pentasodium triphosphate at 3.5 g/kg works against tartar, glucosamine and chondroitin support joints that take a lot of impact from a dog who jumps considerably higher than her size suggests, and the kibble is sized for a small strong jaw. For dogs from ten months.
Dehydrated poultry protein, rice, maize, wheat, vegetable protein isolate (L.I.P. — protein selected for its very high digestibility), animal fats, hydrolysed animal proteins, beet pulp, maize gluten, minerals, fish oil, soya oil, yeasts and parts thereof, fructo-oligo-saccharides, hydrolysed yeast (source of manno-oligo-saccharides), borage oil (0.1%), marigold extract (source of lutein), hydrolysed crustaceans (source of glucosamine), hydrolysed cartilage (source of chondroitin). Additives (per kg) — Nutritional additives: Vitamin A 29,500 IU · Vitamin D3 800 IU · E1 (Iron) 45 mg · E2 (Iodine) 4.5 mg · E4 (Copper) 14 mg · E5 (Manganese) 59 mg · E6 (Zinc) 137 mg · E8 (Selenium) 0.1 mg. Technological additives: Clinoptilolite of sedimentary origin 10 g. Sensory additives: tea extract (source of polyphenols) 150 mg. Preservatives. Antioxidants.
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. She should feel hard and lean, with ribs easily found. Give her a job — scent work, flirt pole, training — because a bored terrier digs, barks and escapes. Check her for grass seeds after walks, particularly between the toes and in the ears; a dog who goes into undergrowth picks them up and they migrate.

A guide, not a rule. Most working-temperament terriers sit in Medium or High. Two meals, fed dry. Fresh water, always.
