The fastest growth in the dog world, and the most fragile.
A Great Dane puppy goes from about 700 g at birth to 45 kg or more in under two years — a hundredfold increase, against a Chihuahua's twentyfold. Nothing else in the domestic dog world grows like that, and nothing else is as easy to get wrong.
Fat is deliberately held to 14%, the lowest of any puppy food in this range. That looks counterintuitive for the biggest puppy in the shop, and it's the single most important number on the bag: excess energy makes her grow faster than her skeleton can safely mineralise, and the result is dysplasia and OCD. Protein at 34% builds muscle without driving that, calcium at 1.26% and phosphorus at 1% are balanced for bone laid down at speed, and glucosamine and chondroitin support cartilage while it forms. She moves onto Giant Junior at eight months, not adult food.
Dehydrated poultry protein, vegetable protein isolate (L.I.P. — protein selected for its very high digestibility), rice, maize, maize flour, animal fats, wheat flour, beet pulp, hydrolysed animal proteins, maize gluten, minerals, soya oil, fish oil, yeasts and parts thereof, fructo-oligo-saccharides, psyllium husks and seeds, hydrolysed yeast (source of manno-oligo-saccharides), yeast extracts (source of betaglucans), marigold extract (source of lutein), hydrolysed crustaceans (source of glucosamine), hydrolysed cartilage (source of chondroitin). Additives (per kg) — Nutritional additives: Vitamin A 16,500 IU · Vitamin D3 1,100 IU · Vitamin E 500 mg · E1 (Iron) 36 mg · E2 (Iodine) 3.6 mg · E4 (Copper) 11 mg · E5 (Manganese) 46 mg · E6 (Zinc) 127 mg · E8 (Selenium) 0.05 mg. Technological additives: Clinoptilolite of sedimentary origin 10 g. Sensory additives: Yucca extract 125 mg. Preservatives. Antioxidants.
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks. **Do not add calcium or a growth supplement** — the balance here is deliberate and supplementing causes exactly the skeletal disease it looks like it should prevent. Keep her lean and keep her off stairs, slippery floors and long walks until she's well past a year. Split every meal; a giant deep-chested dog fed one large meal is a bloat risk from puppyhood.

Read from the weight you expect her to reach as an adult. At nine months she moves onto Giant Junior. Do not feed above the guide — with a giant breed, faster growth is damage, not progress. Three or four meals a day to six months, then two or three. Fresh water, always.
