Grain-free is often sold on fashion rather than evidence, but for the minority of dogs who genuinely react to wheat or maize it makes a visible difference — usually to the skin first, then the stomach.
This one earns it. Chicken meal leads at 25%, with potato and peas carrying the carbohydrate instead of grain, and there's no wheat, maize or gluten anywhere in the recipe. Protein sits at 24.1% for lean muscle and fat at 15.3% for sustained energy, with 3.9% omega-6 and vitamin E doing the work on skin and coat where sensitivity usually shows. L-carnitine at 300 mg/kg supports metabolism, and 9.5% total dietary fibre keeps digestion moving. For adult dogs one to six who do better without grain.

Looking after it
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. If you're switching because of a suspected sensitivity, feed this and nothing else for at least eight weeks — treats and table scraps will muddy the result completely. Skin takes that long to turn over, so a fortnight tells you nothing. Fresh water, always.
