One dab between the shoulder blades — 4 months of tick cover, 6 months of flea cover.
A topical spot-on solution built around a single active, fluralaner, applied once to the skin between the shoulder blades rather than given as a tablet — useful for dogs that are difficult to tablet, or that need protection that doesn't rely on being swallowed. One application covers ticks and fleas for longer than the oral chewable line: four months against ticks, six months against fleas, from a single dose.
Sold as five pack sizes, one per weight band from 112.5mg to 1400mg, so the dose scales with the dog.
Active ingredient (fluralaner, dose scales with pack size/weight band): 112.5mg (2-4.5kg), 250mg (4.5-10kg), 500mg (10-20kg), 1000mg (20-40kg), 1400mg (40-56kg).
The four-month tick window is the shorter of the two durations on this pack — if tick season or a specific outbreak is the main concern, treat the re-dose date as four months out, not six, even though the flea side of the same dose keeps working for six. Applying it to dry skin rather than a wet or freshly bathed coat, and waiting the 3-day post-treatment window before the next bath, gives it the best chance of staying put. Keep dogs separated for a few hours after application so they can't groom it off each other, and keep the application site away from children and other pets' direct contact until it's fully dry. As with the chewable line, re-check the pack size against the dog's current weight at every repurchase — a dog that's moved into the next weight band needs the next pack size up.
