A big cat carries a lot of weight on those joints.
A Maine Coon is the largest domestic cat breed and doesn't finish growing until around fifteen months — considerably later than most. All that frame puts real load through the joints, and the breed is predisposed to both joint problems and heart conditions, so those are the two things this food is built around.
Glucosamine, chondroitin and EPA/DHA at 3.5 g/kg support joint cartilage in a cat that's carrying more than the usual weight over them. Taurine and an adapted mineral content support cardiac function. Protein at 31% holds substantial muscle mass, and omega-3 at 10.1 g/kg supports the long, dense, water-resistant coat. Tea polyphenols are added as a sensory additive. The kibble is a large cube, designed for a powerful square jaw and, importantly, to slow down a cat who'd otherwise inhale his bowl. For Maine Coons over fifteen months.
Dehydrated poultry protein, rice, maize, animal fats, maize gluten, vegetable protein isolate (L.I.P. — protein selected for its very high digestibility), vegetable fibres, hydrolysed animal proteins, beet pulp, minerals, fish oil, soya oil, psyllium husks and seeds, yeasts and parts thereof, fructo-oligo-saccharides, hydrolysed yeast (source of manno-oligo-saccharides), borage oil, hydrolysed crustaceans (source of glucosamine), marigold extract (source of lutein), hydrolysed cartilage (source of chondroitin). Additives (per kg) — Nutritional additives: Vitamin A 30,500 IU · Vitamin D3 800 IU · E1 (Iron) 40 mg · E2 (Iodine) 4 mg · E4 (Copper) 12 mg · E5 (Manganese) 51 mg · E6 (Zinc) 154 mg · E8 (Selenium) 0.08 mg · Taurine 2.58 g. Technological additives: Clinoptilolite of sedimentary origin 10 g. Sensory additives: tea extract (source of polyphenols) 0.6 g. Preservatives. Antioxidants.
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. Buy a large, sturdy bowl — a standard cat bowl is too small and too easily tipped. Watch his weight closely: a Maine Coon is meant to be big, not heavy, and extra kilos land straight on joints that are already working hard. Brush two or three times a week. The breed is worth screening for HCM (a heart condition) and hip dysplasia. Fresh water, always.

A guide, not a rule — read across from her weight band. Most indoor Maine Coons belong in the low-energy row despite their size. Split across two meals. Fresh water, always.
