An indoor cat moves less. The litter tray tells you.
An indoor cat sleeps more, moves less and burns considerably fewer calories than one with a garden. Two things follow: she gains weight easily, and her gut slows down — which is why indoor cats so often produce soft, strong-smelling stools in a tray you're standing next to.
This works on both. Fat is held to 13% with a protein level of 27% to suit a cat who isn't hunting anything more strenuous than a toy mouse. Highly digestible L.I.P. proteins with an adapted fibre content and specific nutrients improve how completely the food is absorbed, which firms stools and genuinely cuts the smell — the difference is noticeable within a couple of weeks. A precise mineral balance supports urinary tract health, which matters for a cat who doesn't drink much. For adult indoor cats from one to seven years.
Dehydrated poultry protein, rice, wheat, maize, vegetable protein isolate (L.I.P. — protein selected for its very high digestibility), animal fats, hydrolysed animal proteins, wheat flour, vegetable fibres, beet pulp, yeasts and parts thereof, soya oil, minerals, fructo-oligo-saccharides, fish oil, psyllium husks and seeds (0.5%). Additives (per kg) — Nutritional additives: Vitamin A 13,500 IU · Vitamin D3 700 IU · E1 (Iron) 42 mg · E2 (Iodine) 4.2 mg · E4 (Copper) 13 mg · E5 (Manganese) 55 mg · E6 (Zinc) 164 mg · E8 (Selenium) 0.09 mg. Technological additives: Clinoptilolite of sedimentary origin 10 g. Preservatives. Antioxidants.
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. Measure her food — an indoor cat with a full bowl and nothing to do will eat out of boredom. Ten minutes of play twice a day does more for her weight than cutting her portion. A water fountain often gets an indoor cat drinking more, which helps the urinary side. One litter tray per cat plus one spare. Fresh water, always.

A guide, not a rule. Split across two meals. If she needs to lose weight, speak to your vet about the right amount rather than guessing. Fresh water, always.
