Out all day, back at dusk, ravenous.
A cat with the run of a garden covers far more ground than anyone realises — climbing, jumping down off walls, hunting, and doing it in whatever weather the day brings. Her energy needs are meaningfully higher than an indoor cat's, and they rise again in winter.
Fat sits at 20% and protein at 30% to meet that. EPA and DHA at 4 g/kg support joints and skeletal structure, which take the impact of every jump down from a wall — glucosamine and chondroitin are in there too. Antioxidants, vitamins and minerals support an immune system that's meeting more of the world than most cats do, and the fatty acid balance keeps a coat that's out in sun, wind and rain in condition. For active outdoor cats from one to seven years.
Dehydrated poultry protein, rice, maize, animal fats, wheat, hydrolysed animal proteins, vegetable protein isolate (L.I.P. — protein selected for its very high digestibility), maize gluten, yeasts and parts thereof, beet pulp, fish oil, minerals, copra oil, soya oil, fructo-oligo-saccharides, hydrolysed yeast (source of manno-oligo-saccharides), borage oil, marigold extract (source of lutein), hydrolysed crustaceans (source of glucosamine), hydrolysed cartilage (source of chondroitin). Additives (per kg) — Nutritional additives: Vitamin A 30,500 IU · Vitamin D3 800 IU · E1 (Iron) 37 mg · E2 (Iodine) 3.7 mg · E4 (Copper) 11 mg · E5 (Manganese) 48 mg · E6 (Zinc) 145 mg · E8 (Selenium) 0.06 mg. Preservatives. Antioxidants.
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. An outdoor cat may well be eating somewhere else too — if she's gaining weight on the recommended amount, that's usually why. Feed at set times rather than leaving food down, so you notice quickly if she stops coming home for meals. Keep her vaccinations, deworming and tick and flea treatment current; she's meeting more than an indoor cat does. Fresh water, always, even if she prefers the pond.
