A slow-cooked stew rather than a pâté — real chicken, lamb and ostrich with carrots in gravy, which is the texture most cats actually pick if you give them a choice.
The practical argument for wet food is water. At 82% moisture a tub delivers a meaningful part of her daily intake, and cats are famously bad at drinking enough — it's why urinary problems are so common. Taurine at 600 mg/kg covers heart and eyes. Feed it on its own or as the wet half of a mixed diet alongside Karoo dry.

Looking after it
Refrigerate any opened tub and use within 24 hours. Serve at room temperature rather than straight from the fridge. At 82% moisture this does real work on water intake, which matters for a cat prone to urinary trouble — but wet food does nothing mechanical for the teeth, so give her something to chew or keep some dry alongside.
