Two things are working against a sterilised cat past seven: a metabolism that was slowed by the operation years ago, and muscle that's now genuinely harder to hold onto. Feed for one and you make the other worse.
This is the food that handles both. Fat is controlled to keep weight in check — at 10.4% it's roughly half what the standard adult dry food carries — while protein stays high at 33.3% so lean muscle isn't sacrificed to the diet. L-carnitine helps him burn fat rather than store it. Mineral levels are held down for kidney and bladder health, which matters more with every year, and vitamins C and E support ageing immunity. Omega-6 with vitamin E keeps the coat from looking tired. For sterilised cats aged seven and over.

Looking after it
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. Weigh him monthly — a sterilised older cat gains weight quietly and loses muscle just as quietly, and the scale won't always tell you which is happening. Keep water available in more than one place. If he's on medication or has a diagnosed condition, check with your vet before switching.
