A soft mousse for weaning kittens and the mums feeding them.
Weaning is the fiddliest fortnight in a kitten's life. They want solid food, they can't quite manage it, and a mousse is the answer — soft enough to lap, dense enough to actually count as a meal.
This one covers both ends of the job: kittens from weaning to twelve months, and the queens who are pregnant or nursing and burning through more energy than at any other point in their lives. Turkey and chicken lead the ingredient list, and at 41.5% protein and 30.6% fat it's built for growth rather than maintenance. There's DHA from fish oil for brain and eye development, clinically proven antioxidants for an immune system that hasn't met much yet, and a texture designed to be gentle on a gut that's still learning what food is.
Turkey (18%), pork liver, chicken (10%), maize, pork protein isolate, minerals, animal fat, various sugars, digest, rice flour, cellulose, fish oil, dried egg whites, vitamins, dried beet pulp, flaxseed, taurine, trace elements and beta-carotene.
Serve at room temperature — straight from the fridge is too cold for a small kitten. Cover and refrigerate leftovers and use within 24 hours. Kittens eat little and often: split the daily amount across four meals under four months, then three. If you're feeding a nursing queen, let her eat as much as she wants — she'll self-regulate. Fresh water, always.
