An indoor cat grooms more than an outdoor one, swallows more fur for it, and has fewer opportunities to work it off. The result usually announces itself at three in the morning on a carpet.
The fibre technology here — 8.2% crude fibre, the highest in the range after Perfect Weight — is designed to carry swallowed hair through the digestive tract rather than letting it collect in the stomach. It works with the fur rather than against it, which is why the food matters more than any amount of brushing. Calories are held down too, since an indoor cat burns considerably less than she thinks she does, and that's the other half of the indoor problem. Chicken protein maintains lean muscle, antioxidants support immunity, and omega-6 with vitamin E keeps the coat in condition — a better coat sheds less to start with.

Looking after it
Store in a cool, dry place, sealed. Use within six weeks of opening. Brushing still helps — the food handles what she swallows, not what she's about to. If she's retching repeatedly without producing anything, or going off her food, see a vet: an impacted hairball is a genuine obstruction risk and not something to wait out. Fresh water, always.
