Deliberately tiny, so it flies properly when she launches it.
Fat Cat made this one small on purpose — small enough to get real distance when a cat flicks it, which is the whole appeal. A bigger toy gets pushed around the floor; this one goes up in the air.
Size: about 7.6 × 2.5 × 9 cm, 18 g — the smallest thing we sell for cats.
Ships in assorted designs.
Catnip: stuffed with Fat Cat's "Zoom Around the Room" organic catnip. Roughly two cats in three respond to catnip at all — it's inherited, and kittens under about three months usually don't react. If yours is in the third that doesn't, it isn't the toy's fault, and silvervine is worth trying instead.
Petmate publish one supervision line and it covers every toy they make: "we still recommend that you supervise your pet during playtime, and remove the toy from your pet if it becomes damaged or parts become separated. Always monitor your pet any time new toys are introduced. No dog or cat toy is indestructible." Worth knowing that several Fat Cat pages also carry the phrase "perfect for solo playtime", which sits awkwardly against their own policy. We've left it off. Check a soft toy over when you pick it up — a seam that has started to go is a mouthful of stuffing waiting to happen. Petmate publish no washing instructions for any of these, so treat them as spot-clean only and replace rather than launder. This is the smallest toy in the range, and small enough that a determined cat could get it fully into her mouth. Worth putting away between play sessions rather than leaving it out, particularly with a kitten or a cat who chews fabric.
